Update for Australian divers

A bunch of good updates for our Australian followers! 🇦🇺 We've been working hard to expand the geographic coverage of the enhanced satellite data collection we introduced in our previous post.
Better Data
We are now fetching satellite data with a resolution down to 300m x 300m in Australia 🎯. This is a significant improvement from our previous pipeline, which relied on coarse pixels. Moreover, we fetch and incorporate satellite imagery as soon as the satellite makes its daily pass over the continent 🌏. Together, this results in a more accurate visibility forecast!

More Dive Spots
We've expanded Australian dive spot coverage from 111 to 298 spots (+160% increase). The biggest gains are in Western Australia, which was heavily underrepresented, along with new coverage in Tasmania and the Northern Territory. Victoria and South Australia also saw significant growth, while NSW and Queensland filled in gaps around their already solid base. 🐠
Call for Dive Instructors
We are currently offering a limited number of complimentary premium instructor accounts for dive centres who’d like to evaluate it in practice. If you are interested, please get in touch. 🤝
